Motherhood changed me in countless ways, and one that made such a big difference was the changes in my physical body. Trying to find clothes that were actually cute, flattering, and functional for breastfeeding was nearly impossible when I was freshly postpartum.
Shopping usually went like this:
Found a cute top! No way to breastfeed in it.
Comfortable shirt I could breastfeed in! Had no shape, unflattering, so plain. Sobbing in the fitting room.
Jeans! I miss jeans! DON’T. DO. IT
(I spent a LOT of time crying while trying on clothes that didn’t fit - pre-baby jeans, I’m looking at you!!)
I wanted to curate collections of clothes that are flattering, comfortable, AND practical for moms. Each piece is hand-selected with a growing bump, breastfeeding and pumping ease-of-access in mind!
I also wanted to create a space beyond the clothes and accessories, completely free from any business-talk or shopping. A space where moms could come together to spend quality time with each other, lean on one another, and create their village while supporting local small businesses around San Diego like coffee shops and wellness spots - thus began our Mama Meet-Ups!
I’ve met such incredible women, made connections with local businesses, gained some amazing mama friends, and made unforgettable memories at our Meet-Ups since 2024.
This is about more than just a shop, it’s about spreading the sunshine to every mama who needs it.
